Why did it take six years?
I am from the school that I will only do this once. So I had to be 100% sure.

I'm glad she only wanted a small (1ct) one so I got her a very high quality one and it did not totally break the bank. The total bill was a little less than that electric bicycle from a few days back.[/EDIT] [EDIT2]We had to take it back today to get resized. It was 1/2 size too big so she was worried it would fall off. She gets it back in a few hours..[/EDIT2]

I have a friend who waited 18 years of dating (not living together) before he proposed and she accepted.

There is a long dead star that weighs in at a few million carats. You can have if you can get to it. Pure diamond.

They started dating when they were in high school (16ish I assume) and got married when he turned 35. Met them both at the University.
