No. He is a private individual and thus not a representative of any public or private entity.
Being a private individual excuses you from obeying the law? I don't think so. And he is a reprentitive of a public or private entity, he is an employee of a Public Transport Company.

You couldn't be more wrong if you had a masters in wrongness. The written word where it conflicts with my views I find well worth reading and trying to understand. Actually, the Act gives protection to an individual against public authority. Not giving individual protection against another individual. Thus, the individual also has some responsibilities namely "for the protection of the reputation or rights of others" but failure for the individual to give such undertaking is not a violation of somebody else's rights under Human Rights legislation but maybe prosecuted under some other act. If the employee is deemed a representative of a public or private entity and causes some action contrary to the Human Rights Act then the public or private entity can be prosecuted but not the individual who is the representative of such entity. However, the employee in this particular case is using his rights not to drive a bus which distresses him because of stated articles of Human Rights Act and consequently it is a requirement of the entity to satisfy those rights or face possible prosecution.

I find that I can think of things that would force me to take a stand similar to his. Since I'd want to have that right and be respected when I exercised it (whether I could keep my job or not is a different story) I guess I'll have to respect him.

It obviously hasn't effected his faith. I would suspect that he doesn't want any part in spreading that message. I wouldn't want to either. It doesn't say anything about his intelligence. Would you say the same about somebody who refused to drive a bus because it had a religious message on it?
