That's what I thought when I first read about it too, then I figured MS saw it as a way to spread Silverlight, until I saw it was Flash.

Microsoft just launched a celeb site featuring horizontal scrolling: http://www.wonderwall.com/[^] Why Flash and not Silverlight? :sigh:

check the google styled menu on top right. Click on 'More v'. it will pop out an option window(i found it ugly and not matching the theme of the site, guess its just picked up from the msn site[^]) of options and won't go away unless you clicked on 'More v' once again. i wasted 10 secs clicking everywhere outside that window and trying to figure out how to get away with it. they made me realise how dumb i am, once again :sigh:

They didn't have a Silverlight developer open to do it so they advertised a requirement for a developer with 5 years experience in Silverlight or Flash. Having no Silverlight candidates they were forced to do Flash.

Need software developed? Offering C# development all over the United States, ERL GLOBAL, Inc is the only call you will have to make.
If you don't ask questions the answers won't stand in your way.

Do you mean Microsoft? I will be stunned if this is true. They have their own cloud and they don't even host their own website

Yeah, they try to keep it quiet, but all Microsoft websites are actually hosted on Geocities. They tried to bring it all in-house by buying up Yahoo! last year, but it didn't pan out.

Indeed. If you want people to see you naked, just go naked, it's very liberating, more people should do it (but not kid sisters, nor weird uncles).

Why use flash to create a dark gray scrollable empty panel? (why create it at all?) Or is that just my ad blocker
