I love DevExpress

I was just starting to develop Silverlight Menu control when I found out that DevExpress is giving away exact same component along with grid for FREE - http://www.devexpress.com/Products/NET/Controls/Silverlight/Register/index.xml[^]; even source code is included. Damn, it almost seemed I'll be using Telerik for Silverlight development and switching from DevExpress after building apps with their (also free[^]) WinForms components for couple years. After this... I don't know... it seems like my infatuation with DevExpress will be lifelong...

Ugh, just had a peek at the WinForms stuff, it looks really nice, but the download is 220 MB, WTF?! Isn't that a little bit much?

Nope, that's standard, we use all the big 3rd party component vendors and they all have huge downloads, but the actual distributed files are very small, nothing like that at all. It's usually a lot of docs, alternative versions of the controls, demos etc etc. Telerik are very good about it they always offer a small refresher update alternative which is just a zip file.

Mine too, and I've only used their ASP.NET GridView so far. Nicest component I've used in a while.
