He probably should have done that. Hasn't been addressed in a press conference?

of course he should have, fuck, he said he would - a man who doesn't live up to his word isn't worth a bucket of piss.
Mike - typical white guy. The USA does have universal healthcare, but you have to pay for it. D'oh. Thomas Mann - "Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil." The NYT - my leftist brochure. Calling an illegal alien an “undocumented immigrant” is like calling a drug dealer an “unlicensed pharmacist”. God doesn't believe in atheists, therefore they don't exist.

If you are referring to his birth certificate, then he has already released that to the public. There are multiple sources for this, including copies of the certificate itself. Shrug.
We've been over this time and again. The one document released is a digital scan of the short form. The certification of live birth doesn't prove he was born in the states, a certificate of live birth would by including the doctor and the name of the hospital that nobody can produce, though several have tried all with varying answers. I understand many just want to blow it off, not least of all Obama. But if it's such a non-issue, why not just fork em over?

President's attorneys file motion demanding birth, college records be withheld from public[^] What was all that about transparency again? Seriously, why not hand them over? Why is it so important to him to keep his records hidden? He's got nothing to hide. Right?

What indeed? You realize this is just a distraction, something to keep the conspiracy nuts preoccupied... ...now, ask why the new administration is upholding the "state secrets" slap-down on rendition cases... :suss:

I agree, his stimulus bill is not an appropriate solution to the financial problem. Neither are the tax cuts proposed by the Republicans. But that's another thread. Anyways, if that was what he said he would do, then it should have been done.
To be honest, I credit more of this fiasco to Peloci than Obama, but if he was serious about his pledge to transparancy I would expect him to hold Congress to that standard and reign those idiots in a little bit. As for the tax cuts (not to tangent here), I don't think they will help much either. A very large tax rebate in the form of a check might make a dent, but that's not going to happen anyway. Everybody in Congress should be sitting down together and crafting something aimed specifically and directly at jobs and economic stimulus. The Dems aren't in the least bit interested in stimulus, and I think the Reps are just trying to rangle what they can of their own wish list, which basically amounts to tax cuts. Neither side is working to stimulate the economy, and they should all be booted out on there asses for political malpractice.

I have a tough time believing that Obama will shell out millions to combat law suits and avoid showing documents just to distract and keep conspiracy nuts preoccupied. And I don't really believe that you have to be a gullable conspiracy junky to wonder why he won't just pony up the docs. It's a simple thing, if you've got them and they don't say something you don't want known. Seems more likely to me that he would keep the whole story as quiet as possible so that most people will just assume anybody who questions it is a nut. The rendition cases, I hadn't given much thought to.

You do have to be at least a little bit gullible to believe he didn't learn anything from Bush and Clinton though. Or that he only learned what not to do. Give in on stuff like this, and the next request is a bit more troublesome to fulfill. Give in on that one, and the next one is gonna cost you. He's playing chess, smiling but keeping plenty of pawns between queens.

Yup. Kind of a big deal though...

I find it unusual that the major network/news agencies aren't picking up on this breaking news story, allthough there plenty of "opionion" papers/blogs/gossip/neo-nazi publications referring to this one article. Lets say NBC/BBC/FOX/Iraqi News Today/etc all suddenly take notice? Why? Who really fricking cares? He IS the president, and nothing short of death will change that. Conspiracy theory aside, what's the point here?

After some of the embarrassments that Obama has experienced this week how much longer do you figure Rahm has?

Rahm has until Obama figures out that Rahm is still working for Pelosi.

Oh not much, just the Constitution that the entire nation is founded on and thousands of men have fought, bled and died defending. It's a little disconcerting to see how many people don't fricking care.

Nobody's asking what he has in his house. I have to show records to board a plane, but he doesn't have to show documents to be elected president. I appreciate your attempt at dismissal on grounds of hypocrisy, but you're comparing apples and elephants.

I support ye completely Bonie. I think this is all part of a wider conspiracy by extraterrestrials to take over our planet. Have you heard about the deposition given by Rep. Eric Swafford of Tennessee that he saw Obama turn into reptile like creature and slither away muttering horrid imprecations? Have you heard about this swamp creature[^]? See what I mean??!!!! Things are beginning to fall into place one by one.

The Press has a tendency to ask tough question of Obama like "What are you planning on having for lunch today, Mr. President?"

My original reaction to this focus-in on Obama's birth-nation was to pooh-pooh it. Just a couple of demented tinfoil beanie wearing conspiracy nuts. But that he is fighting in court to keep the documents from being subpoenaed rather than posting them on line and displaying them in the press-room at the White House has begun to make me suspicious. :suss:
