Something you would use yourself, I have quite a few small programs that I wrote that I use every day! The biggest one is a code snippet manager, it basically holds snippets of code I've figured out working on other projects, so that if i need to do something I've done before i don't have to search through the original programs source code to find it :)

What do you like to do? Is there a way that software could help you in it that isn't already available or is too costly? Simple utility programs to help with minor tasks are often invaluable when learning a new language as well as being useful - to you, if noone else!

I'm going to start working on a visual nant builder, its going to help me at least considering the size of some of the scripts I write.

Its a bit more than just a code snippet manager, and you cant carry VS around on your flash disk plus its much more satisfying and fun to build and use your own app :)

You wrote Word? I have a few complaints you may like to address.

Master Control Program? :~ Pick an easy puzzle game you like and implement it. Something like Master Mind[^] or Merlin's Magic Square[^], both of which I've programmed several times in various languages.
