It's... http://www.comicrelief.com/[^] night. :( Don't get me wrong, I give generously to a number of charities; but I seriously object to the TV being taken over by chuggers in the least amusing "comedic" event in the entire history of unamusing "comedy" spectacles. I feel the pub calling. And it had better have a late licence. And no TV. And definitely no "amusing" happenings or the sudden appearance of chugger collection buckets.

I freakin' hate Comic Relief. I find it highly annoying that a bunch of extremely wealthy no-talent nobodies go on at people to hand over money they can't afford when these farkwits could solve a lot of the problems by giving over, oh perhaps 3 months of their wages.

I'm with you there Pete. As a reasonably wealthy man I try to do what I think is right, but to have a guilt trip perpetrated by extremely wealthy "comedians" invade the house (no, I didn't get down the pub :( ) makes me very angry. Very angry.

I went to see Watchmen[^]. I wish I'd stayed in and watched Comic Relief...and yes, I despise what is claimed to be 'entertainment', presented on the evening of Red Nose Day. I will never get those three hours back.

Java, Basic, who cares - it's all a bunch of tree-hugging hippy cr*p

Indeed: one of the chaps at the office turned up with bits of his hair shaved off and then expected me to pay to look at his ugly little head in the pretense that any of it would ever end up helping some poor little downtrodden scroat whose own government, who should be doing the job, are utterly corrupt and stealing all of the things we contribute and could not care less about their own citizens.

While I dimly remember Comic Relieve when I lived in the UK - and I'm pretty sure the inanity of getting Terry Wogan to take his tie off for a hundred quid made me grind my teeth to stubs, I assure you that it is so much better than almost any TV in Australia, you should count your blessings! Oh - and if you don't like it, SWITCH THE FARKING TELLY OFF!

If you're married to a spouse that likes crap TV I can certainly sympathise - having just suffered a night of "So You Think You Can Dance Australia". I felt we really got to know the dancers! However, if you really want to get the TV turned off, you just need to turn something else on - know what I mean? Nudge nudge, ;) ;) ?

Not quite what I had in mind - but whatever floats your boat, I guess.
