The same way I feel about my hard earned tax dollars being thrown down the toilet by Krudd and his Krew... but if they are going to do it, at least they could do something that may actually help... Although I'd rather they used it for something like FTTN across the country...

Like I said, I am not in favour of any kind of bailout. I'm just saying, if they *must* spend the money, then they should do it in a way that actually helps the poor. As to how I'd feel, I'd feel like I wish I had kept my mortgage. I'd expect if such a plan was created, there'd be a run of people like me trying to create new mortgages on our homes.

Well I guess that was the purpose of it. Better people spend it that stick it in super for example but I still fundamentally disagree with what he's done. On another topic you might have heard about his use of the term "shit storm" in an interview. There was an article in the SMH saying that the use of that term had been scripted after much analysis was done with focus groups and marketing type people. What a fabulous way to spend our tax dollar. I miss Johnny

It never was self-policing, and no one said that it was, or expected it to be. What has happened is that the system has been intentionally undermined by government to create just the fiasco we are now experiencing so that people will accept the state taking direct control of the entire economic engine.

Chaining ourselves to the moral high ground does not make us good guys. Aside from making us easy targets, it merely makes us idiotic prisoners of our own self loathing.

What I find quite interesting is that every country on the planet achieved their own prosperity without any impetus from the U.S. economy (especially France) but that without exception they all started failing as soon as the American economic engine began to stall out.
