After downloading the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 it says: Download complete. You can now disconnect from the internet. I was thinking: man, this must be one powerful framework if I don't have to have an internet connection anymore! (I'm easily amused)

It is obviously aimed at those in the third world who do not have a permanant broadband connection.

I remember the days of pay by the minute or bytes. Haven't thought about that in a loooooong time. Funny...I don't think I can even get my computer to disconnect from the internet without pulling the plug on the router (persistent little !@$%^!) :)

They're taking a risk using dial-up to download service packs. :~

It says that even if you save the file and then install it on a stand-alone system.

Wait, I’m in a “third world” country (don’t we all since earth is the third planet from the sun?) but I have a permanent broadband connection, should I disconnect or not? Now I don’t know what to do. :)
