Yes folks, it's that time again. I'm looking for a nice suffix for an application that executes tasks in order to perform an upgrade, and ultimately, all similar applications (that execute tasks). -Manager has seen its day, -Wizard isn't accurate, and -Worker just doesn't sound right. Yes, this is ultimately a programming question, but I am appealing to Lounge denizens' command of the English language, and not of programming languages, so I thought I could squeeze it past the censors. :)

-Updater sounds logical.
It does, but -Rejuvenator leverage more synergy between the core competencies of the potential utilisers.

That's so awesome - could you please, please write up an article detailing the Newifier pattern? Is this at all related to the Decider and/or MisUnderEstimator patterns?

An analytical app I inherited at my old job had a couple thousand lines of business logic in a monstrous function called AnalCalculate... But then, it was a VB6 app, originally written in VB4, so we can make all kinds of comments...

Tryin to move beyond the problematic "SETUP" phrase, eh? UpgradeYa? Ameliorator? Rectifier? Amend? The thesaurus is your friend here...

Not in the least, on both counts! My full spec describes the tasks, the work flow, and the UI, and I must code it and name it.
