Old news but, you would have to ignored the last two decades of business trends to not see this coming. This really has nothing to do with Obama, Bush, taxpayers or, the state of the economy. It's about commodization in a global market. This stuff was happening in a growing economy and will continue in a retracting one. You want this stuff to stop happening, then you need to convince the consumers to stop paying for this or you need to pass some laws that make this difficult to do. In the end, it is all about consumer motivation.

I don't care about the status of the company or their product, Its what Obama said and done along with the rest of the gang.

So if Bush had done the same thing, you'd be all for it?

          From the article:

The reports, which GM will neither confirm nor deny, could mean trouble because GM is supported by $15.4 billion in U.S. government loans, largely due to the Obama administration's desire to preserve the company's 90,000 U.S. jobs.

I am not sure to understand, but by doing so, GM would go agains Obama's will to preserver American jobs, isn't it?

Are you being intentionally obtuse? Or, are you happy being apart of the "me too" group of former neocon cheerleaders? Why weren't you bitching about this stuff when it was happening during the previous administrations? Why do you suddenly care? Why aren't you bitching about the layabouts in the midwest who receive public money to not grow crops? Why weren't you complaining when the federal government under the last administration did all it could to curtail states rights (look up CA vs EPA)? Why didn't you care when public money was spent to build stadiums so that a few people could profit and a lot of people could lose their homes and in turn get good minimum wage jobs selling popcorn? But now you and your ilk care? Now the substance is suddenly more important than the symbolism? Why? You and the rest of the republican cheerleaders have completely lost the plot. You've stopped thinking for yourselves, you accept what you are told and you happily, knowingly, partake in doublethink.
