How come then I don't see anything in the legacy media? I remember the 70's and they would interview people, get into their details and life styles. Nothing is reported about this now. The article did not say what the political nature of those who were storing food away were, do you suspect right-wing wackjobs? ------edit---- I did find another reference to survivalists on a TV web site, it was a fox news site. click[^] (see video)

agreed but it is still difficult (for me, anyway) to be sneeringly critical of good instincts and taking steps to protect your family in a period of potential chaos is no more than that. it is elitist, ignorant and plain foolish to think otherwise.

Are you prepared for the law requiring that, in the time of a disaster, anyone who has a survival kit must take in either a minority family, two homeless people and their shopping carts, or three governmental employees?
