How come then I don't see anything in the legacy media? I remember the 70's and they would interview people, get into their details and life styles. Nothing is reported about this now. The article did not say what the political nature of those who were storing food away were, do you suspect right-wing wackjobs? ------edit---- I did find another reference to survivalists on a TV web site, it was a fox news site. click[^] (see video)

agreed but it is still difficult (for me, anyway) to be sneeringly critical of good instincts and taking steps to protect your family in a period of potential chaos is no more than that. it is elitist, ignorant and plain foolish to think otherwise.

I hadn't thought of that! And that if frighteningly close to the thought process of the current administration. I can hear it now; "If you took a federal tax refund, and you have made certain provisions in the case of an emergency then you are required to...."
