This year SourceForge is opening new categories in its community choice award. One of these is "most likely to change the way you do everything". I'd like to participate with Evolutility, a lightweight framework for CRUD applications which uses metadata instead of code (like SalesForce or Intuit QuickBase). Because Evolutility is quite different and can be used for (almost) everything, it may have a chance to win. Also, most successful open source are either alternatives to existing commercial software, or very specialized tools, hopefully they may not compete in that category. A few months ago, you already voted the idea behind Evolutility winner of the Code Generation contest (3rd place). Minimalist Meta-Model for CRUD Applications[^] You can help again by voting for Evolutility as "most likely to change the way you do everything". Vote for Evolutility on SourceForge[^] Now is a good opportunity to help others developers open their eyes (and minds) to the power of metadata. Best regards and thanks for your support, Olivier Giulieri www.evolutility.org[^]

Nope, I didn't - I very rarely vote in these contests. Mind you - you are a glutton for punishment, aren't you? You've trolled across the forums posting these links and been 1 voted in every case. Surely that gave you a hint that this behaviour wasn't endearing you to people.

"you" didn't mean "Pete O'Hanlon". Anyway, why should I listen to the advices of someone who talk about "lovers, porn star, and hobnots" in the lounge where the guidelines advises "If you're about to post something you wouldn't want your kid sister to read then don't post it."

"you" meant a public of which I am a member and I'd be honored to have Pete O'Hanlon as my rapier witted and file tongued representative.

Posting Guidelines: The Lounge is rated PG. If you're about to post something you wouldn't want your kid sister to read then don't post it. No flame wars, no abusive conduct and please don't post ads. This is what we're getting at.

Ahh...but it's not just the open source project that takes your fancy is it. It's the open source project that you are working on. Blatant self promotion only devalues your recommendation.

My sincere thanks! But the local stores were sufficiently stocked for me to acquire a few months supplies :) I'm dieting too and this time, the wife is armed with a shotgun, if my hand creeps anywhere near the fridge/pantry/barn/other-source-of-tasty-yet-fattening-sustenance will cause myself to be shot.

"you" didn't mean "Pete O'Hanlon". Anyway, why should I listen to the advices of someone who talk about "lovers, porn star, and hobnots" in the lounge where the guidelines advises "If you're about to post something you wouldn't want your kid sister to read then don't post it."

I'm doing this one myself. I'm 18 pounds down, only 18 more to go. It's taken just over 5 months to get down to this weight, but I feel better for it.

Fun. I can't wait to save the galaxy. ;) For now I guess I'll simply go watch the latest episode in the theater.

I think you're being way too harsh. Maybe you should let *me* handle this... :)
