It's a geek/nerd thing going on - its the only way most of these guys have of trying to impress - usually failing miserably especially when they start quoting each other, mentioning hamsters, Chuck Norris or praying to the geek god JSOP

Thanks for the votes guys - nice to know I'm appreciated, if you're that upset though I'll take out the hamster remark...

If you're no geek, you have no place in the Lounge. We don't need on stinkin' normals in here.

Have you noticed that peoples signatures are getting longer and longer, more and more quotes, and often surpass the actual message length by a factor or more that 4! Is all this stuffing necessary?

No more necessary than an web forum.

Hey, I wear my bigotry with pride. I'm not sexist, ageist or racist, so that doesn't leave me with much room to play with. I had to have something to hang an ism on (and having been overweight, I wasn't going to be fatist).

Mine is unchanged for nearly 4 millenia and has been handed down through the male line since 1188 BC.. In it's original form, granted as a Cartouche to me ancestors by the Pharaoh Setnakhte, it consisted of the three pictograms for panic, chaos and destruction under the outstretched wings of, what appears to be, an african swallow.

I think he lied to you - those pictograms actually give the air speed of an african swallow... :D
