What's the pricing like for Interprise Suite? I don't particularly want to fill out their three-page essay just to find out roughly how much it costs! We're currently using a Norwegian product called Visma Business, which is in the region of £5-7K for a 5-user system. It's extensible via a COM-interop layer, although the documentation is slightly lacking.

According to this page[^], it's around £500 per user. In other pages I've seen US$999 per user. One of the testimonials says that he has the 10-user license but actually has around 13-14 users that log in, so I suppose the license is per concurrent user. Also, the British page (and other pages also) says there is a free one user edition, but I couldn't find where to download it.

This one isn't free, but it's very cheap compared to many. It's also extremely powerful and very intuitive. I have experience with it, and found it excellent from the perspective of the user, which I was. It's based on MS Access, MS MSDE or MS SQL Server. It integrates with Quickbooks or Peachtree. We studied 13 different ERP solutions, including the ludicrous SAP, and chose the big brother of this system. We spent less on our entire system, including hardware and implementation, than a similar size manufacturer spent on SAP consultants alone. With over 200 active, complex work orders on the floor, we made the changeover over the New Year's holiday without a single hiccup. It has superb search abilities, an intuitive (to manufacturing people) presentation of manufacturing processes, and a very robust scheduler. Take a peek. http://www.visualjobshop.com/visualjobshop/ Regards, jamesduttle

Looking at the site it doesn't give too much information. Apparently it's aimed at manufacturing companies, right? How much does it cost? I am trying to find an ERP I can sell and implement to small businesses in Mexico, and price definitely is an important factor.

I have been looking for an ERP for a small business. A client of mine wants a full-featured ERP, but it's a relatively small company. I saw that as an opportunity to open another business line, that of selling and implementing an ERP. I've looked at many, but so far I like Interprise Suite[^] best. I like its price, and that it is extensible with .NET plugins. Does anyone here have any experience here with them? Or could you recommend another ERP that could work? We are talking around 10 users or so. [EDIT: Any free, open-source choices? Preferably based on .NET?]

Hi Luis, I've just read all the thred's to your post and have learnt that you are looking for an ERP to sell in Mexico. My system has a very unique feature which we call "Dynamic Multi-Lingual" which essentially means that you could be placing a purchase order in English and it would transform into any language in real-time. I think this would be a good feature for you. We were recently recognised at Australia's premier ICT awards night "iAwards" for best practice and most innovative product. Thanks for the link, for sure I'll give it a look. Choosing an ERP to sell will be a long process. Since I will be selling it, I must make sure it's good because it's my company's reputation on the line. I am trying to aim small businesses, so price is quite important. What's more or less your price point per user?

You should give a try to Dynacom (erp.dynacom.com). User friendly, flexible and moreover, a powerful built-in programming tool. They have a spanish version too.

Not sure how small are you looking for, but have you taken a look at Epicor? it has some great alternatives for small and medium businesses and its main products are based on .Net technologies and at least Vantage 8.03 and Epicor 9 offer great programming tools for customization. You can email me if you need more info about them :) if not you can just take a look at www.epicor.com

Luis, I would check out OpenBravo as a free open source ERP system. I played with it a little as a product engineer at my current company. Unfortunately I did not realize our company was looking into something and chose a different product that seems to be not as user friendly. It is free to try with a "VM" as a download and does not require an installation to test it. Another good thing about that product is that it is backed by a real company, so if you can work on implementations, customizations, and your customers have the option of purchasing support through "Spanish" based developing company. Good Luck with your search, Tim
