My name is Nate from the Bing Outreach Team and I wanted to make sure that all of you know about the contest called "Will Code for Green", that is going on now. The goal of “Will Code for Green” is to create a Web application or mashup in order to a) help people cope with the economy OR b) help people protect the environment. The top prizes for economy or ecology categories are $10,000 each, with 3 overall runners up receiving $3,000. The prize money for this contest is larger in hopes of promoting the formation of teams. Sounds like an interesting, and yet pointless, competition. Interesting because coding ones way out of catastrophic environmental melt down would be interesting, but pointless because whatever efforts are expended in seeking the solution could easily be exceeded by everyone who participates turning their computer off for two hours per day. Also "Bing Outreach Team"? Bing? Bing? BOT? Nate, you seriously need a better name!

Do you realize that Bing Outreach Team is an anagram of 'Teach about minger', or vice versa, of course. I'm not suggesting for a minute that there is any relation between those two terms. I just find it interesting, 'sall.

Bing Outreach Team, better known by its acronym: B.O.T. Since I assume that you'll insist on Microsoft technologies in any submission, and since we all know that Microsoft has thoroughly deprecated native mode development, that means that .NET is required. The whole thing is better known as BOTNET?
