Address book anyone?
-
Can someone recommend a good address book (mostly non-email). My dad was asking me for a simple software similar to the address book available in simple digital diaries. The only expected feature would prolly be categories like home, office, misc etc… plus the ability to search for them. A search for "and" should return Andrew Peace and Andy Mortimer and Anand Krishna! Regards, Nish p.s. I can't afford to google for it and DL each one and try them out because I live in a bandwidth starved city :-(

Don't know what off of the top of my head but it wouldn't be too difficult to make one. I just need more time. Regards, Brian Dela :-)

I know how to search a database better than I do an XML document. Nick Parker

I haven't had much use for a PC-based address book - it's too hard to put in my briefcase. But I recently acquired a Handspring Visor Pro[^], and have quickly discovered that it is indispensible! If you really must have something on your desktop, though, the organizer software that comes with it includes an excellent address book, along with a calendar/scheduler, email client, note pad, and to do list. If you hunt around the website, I'll bet there's a place to download the software (for boneheads who managed to damage their original CDs) for free. It runs standalone, even though it's intended to keep the desktop and handheld unit synchronized. Word of the day: Rotundacrat

I knew that was coming , however with such a tight schedule right now I think I am going to have to hold off on that. I'll will definately put it on my todo list though. :) Nick Parker
