But not on Expression Pro... Ahhh, there it is. 4 hours and 50 minutes to download. Maybe I'll get luck and it will get done before I leave work... Damn - the transfer rate bounces around between 100-200 KB/sec, spending most of its time below 150 - the tie is now over 5 hours

Darn thing is taking too long to load. Will start download shortly. Thanks. :-O  Added: Start download, but with the downside of using the miserable file transfer manager utility, of course. :|

The time estimate for what is left is currently 17hr and 1 minute... Where is that cloud and let's pump up it power ;) Only 2 hr 10 min on my remoted dedicated server. Both are 10 mbit. Guess they throttle at will ;)

How can it not be there? I remember confirming it with the local MSDN guys that your subscription will include OS updates. I'm writing him an email in another window. [Added] Forget it, I see your post is edited now. No email sent, no harm done. I've been hating Vista as much as you, John. I hope that 7 will put an end to our sufferings with the OS, and now I can firmly recommend an OS to my clients. :) [/Added]

good question. I'm somewhere in the 20+ hours range. if it shows a time left at all.

You might go back and try an Alternet Download site. I just did and it is between 40 minutes and 1:10 while my other (which both are downloading it) is at 17 hrs.

Go back to the Sbuscription Home and try an alternate download site. Mine is ripping through in comparison (40 minues to 1:10). It uses a different download manager though.

There is not "alternative download site" on the expression pro download page. Epression Pro isn't technically considered a MSDN subscription (according to a MSDN rep).

Hmm, it started at 400 KB/s (KByte, not Kbit). Now it's running at 300 KB/s. 2 hours to go.

Damn - the transfer rate bounces around between 100-200 KB/sec, spending most of its time below 150 - the tie is now over 5 hours
