Cascading Style Sheets - a technique for being able to globally change styles of text etc. Now replaced by a more efficient method of using tables and hard coded HTML local styles. This new development has a major advantage of preventing global changes to a web site, and at the same time improving job security for web designers and compatibility with IE4 :)

Tag specific classes in lower case (

, , etc.). Classes are either in PascalCase or camelCase. Usually camel, though mostly lowercase as I use single word names for most classes. This is mostly at-home stuff. I haven't done any "professional" site-design work yet. :) Flynn

2 seems the most natural to me. Variety in formats for names makes for mistakes in coding, logic, and display. I have not found where camel case does not apply. I can see 4 as a good alternative, but the upper case/lower case confusion starts to creep in. I guess it is what you are used to.

I use this all the time for temporary string replacements:

str = str.replace(substring, 'WoRdToYaMoM');

...Do something else with str then put substring back

str = str.replace('WoRdToYaMoM', substring);

I was using 3 (MyClass), but since I start learning and now most commonly use JS in sites, I use 2 (myClass). It is extremely readable (but depends on the font I use)
