My SWMBO is into the Twilight Series at the moment, so she is working her way through the books and I had to watch the first film starring that bloke what died in the Harry Potter film. Vampires are cool, but Teenage Vampires in Love and Angst is not.

They are great books for holidays, you can laze by a pool and read it, then leave it behind when you go so that someone else can do exactly the same. I have a theory that there is only 15 copies of the Da Vinci Code in the universe, but that they keep getting passed around.

There are about 30 million copies about from when everyone bought everyone else a copy for christmas a few years back. Clever marketing trick that, get the critics to say what a fantastic novel blah blah. Everyone buys one and wraps it up not realising just how shit it is. By the time everyone unwraps it and realises it's log you've sold however many million copies and don't care. What I don't understand is how he managed to sell any books after that.

For real, I stood there gobsmacked!!! It was a full section floor to ceiling, and from the look of the spines they were all just clones of Twighlight... I thought Mills & Boon was bad enough, but now add this to the mix and it will just melt your brain!!!

So not even the original! Someone saw that Twilight was selling and thought "Me Too". If you want an emotionless bloodsucking leech for sex, try my ex wife!

His publisher must be an absolute genius to pull of selling millions of copies of the other offerings... Although you'll be surprised at what crap people will read....

He has new one out soon, guaranteed to be number one best seller. It is a rip off of National Treasure 2. (Masons in America, this time it's Personal)

He managed to sell books after that because the majority of people still don't realise just how sh*t it is. Most people like books that are really easy to read but make them feel smart and wouldn't actually know a decent piece of writing if it came up and bit them in the face.

It was Gustav Flaubert who, in Madame Bovary, said "Inside every Revolutionary is a Policeman". Whatever we think of our own tastes, we do not like others to disagree, they are automatically wrong.
