I've once posted a question about pros and cons of flying with Quantas and British Airways. After reading Quantas maintenance logs[^], I have no doubt I should go with BA :) Tomasz Sowinski -- http://www.shooltz.com

There ain't no U in QANTAS. It's an acronym. Queensland And Northern Territory Air Service or something similar to that. FWIW I flew Qantas in September from Sydney to LA and it was one of the better flights I'd been on. It totally changed my opinion about them. cheers, Chris Maunder Q172653: Sometimes Barney Starts Playing Peekaboo on His Own

BA always seems to have problems (my personal worst - 11 hour Joburg/London flight with no water!), (Qantas I have never tried, but SAA are nothing to write home about) if you get the chance, ditch them all and go Virgin Atlantic. The following statement about your geekness is true.

Lol - I didn't mean drinking water, I meant water in the bathrooms, so no washing hands, face in the morning, teeth, etc. X| The following statement about your geekness is true.

These allow air traffic control systems to identify individual planes on radar displays, and help military aircraft (with varying degrees of success) to avoid shooting down non-combatants. You know BA is a major (like 40%) shareholder in Qantas, right? They share virtually all ground crew and facilities. The only real difference is the paintwork and the accents. So definately don't go with Qantas then. ;P Cheers James
