Stinkin' Vista
-
So, I did a round of installer tests today. Which means I have four DVDs and I need to set up a virgin Vista and run them all. On a VIRGIN Vista, within no time, Control Panel would not work ( it would in Safe Mode, but then it gave a vague error about not being able to run the uninstaller ). I could get to it only from My Computer. And, I was running the .NET 3.5 installer. Which claims to be downloading itself even when you download the full version. I found out tonight ( at a family dinner, no less, I took a notebook to get this done ), that even though all the files are local, it freezes and tries to reconnect 20 times in total, 20 timeouts before it says hey, this file is here already..... Morons.

It seems whatever you do and wherever you go, bad luck with vista will find you. What have you done to make Microsoft boycutt you like this? :-D

Out of curiosity, when you get a new car, do the radios work? Does anything in them work?

I've never had a car with more than one.
I have been trying for weeks to get this little site indexed. If you wonder what it is, or would like some informal accommodation for the 2010 World Cup, please click on this link for Rhino Cottages.
