The only programming experience I have is when my Electronics and Telecommunications course devolved into programming such as the Intel 8085 and the Zilog Z80 for example. Which is basically just assembly. Such fundamentals regarding a "Kernel" and ".dll" are not involved in the area of programming which i have currently experienced. The highest level of programming which I have attempted to date is C, but that was for programming a robot to obtain a basic level of artificial intelligence, but does not require “shared object files” or “_resource allocation, low-level hardware interfaces, security_y” as this programming is all done for a simple DOS based application. Yes, yes, I have to program in DOS, in case some of you didn't read that right in the first place, or just assumed I mistyped it. ;) I was hoping to get more involved in PIC (Peripheral Interface Controller) programming, in particular the PIC 16C84 microcontroller. But I just haven't found a good language to use, although the TASM lanuage sounds popular. But finding the time is another factor. -- Peter "Lifes a lemon and I want my money back"

I feel you all need to realise this isn't standard information for a generic person and as i have already quite clearly pointed out, i have no experience in programming which involves such technology. I'm from an engineering background, not a programming background. This site is helpful for me to learn from, so expect more daft question from yours truely :-D --- Peter M
