Whats the difference between a FEMA camp and a prison? None. This is a brand new massive facility to hold tens of thousands of people run by foreign contractors and military.

It is a prison read the "why we built it section" http://www.tworiversauthority.org/archives.html[^] Not sure what a Fema camp is supposed to be but as far as I can see from the website no one but you is saying this is one.

Are there really that many criminals in Montana?

Montana has a very high concentration of land owners and very independent nature loving people. Many can comfortably live on their own without the need for big cities and corporations. They are labeled as domestic terrorists. They aren't your average city numb-brain TV watcher, and that makes them able to think, so therefor they are going to round them up. The rest of America will sit, watch, and learn about who has absolute authority and what happens to those who don't like being tyrannically dominated.

Read: Separatist militias. Many of whom have become remarkably annoyed that the apocalypse didn't happen in 2000 and the government has yet to come and start their war. Mind you, these are all things I've been aware of since long before 9/11, homeland security, or 'domestic terrorists' as a generally used word.

Just trying to guess who he'd label such. Given it is pretty much the hot spot for such groups, I figured I'd see what his reaction was.

FEMA is a favorite target of conspiracy theorists because they're given an unusual amount of authority and autonomy over an area when a state of emergency is declared. Apparently this means they must be trying to take over the world, because obviously there's no other reason why they would need to be able to act quickly and free of red tape during a massive emergency.

So: It is not a camp run by FEMA; It cannot hold tens of thousands of prisoners; It is not run by foreign contractors and military. 0 out of 3. I am following the prison saga with interest, I love the sheer incompetence displayed by the City Fathers. Thanks for bringing Hardin MT to my attention.

FEMA can use anything as a 'gathering area' or camp. A sports dome or a school can be used when they want to use it, they can take over anything.

But I did chuckle when this American Police Force apparently rolled up in town in their SUV's decked out with Police regalia etc and was told to remove all traces of this regalia. But the local newspaper can't make its mind up if there is 464 or 646 beds. Custer would have been disappointed and Chief Sitting Bull not particularly amused with what they are proposing.

Their population is a little over 3400 and they call this Hardin place a "City". Why? it is more like a village, if they didn't have a place of worship, it might fit the description of "Hamlet". Apparently, one APF principal was born in Montenegro. Makes you wonder if private company's can use the coat of arms of a foreign country. Presumably if HM Queen's insignia is used without her permission, heads might roll. The APF has as of yet not been made aware that the State of Montana has a constitution that forbids the creation of a private police force. [^] This story is getting wackier by the day

So a 114,000 square-foot building accommodates fewer than 1000 prisoners at a cost of $27 million. Would another $24 million will provide an infrastructure for tens of thousands? No. A 30,000 square-foot military-style training facility and a 75,000 square-foot dormitory for 250 trainees are planned. These will cost $17 million to build and $6 million to equip. Allowing for rounding, that's where your $24 million is said to be going. (There was talk of a $30 million investment, which, in addition to the above development, would expand the gaol to accomodate 2000 prisoners.)

Michael Hilton doesn't sound very Serbian (until he starts to speak, they say). Is he a citizen of the USA? Is he wanted for war crimes in Yugoslavia? I think the gull should be told.

There is indeed, but it has nothing to do with the density of a camp's population.

Pronouns must always refer to a preceding noun, otherwise the meaning of the sentence is obscured. If there is no preceding noun, use the noun and not a pronoun. If you really believe your government is going to tell you that the FEMA camps are for Gitmo prisoners and terrorists only, to lull you into a false sense of security, and then - POW! - don't forget school, you are a rebel: listen your MP3 player, smoke, and drink coffee during indoctrination. Sleep well. In the meantime: It is not a camp run by FEMA; It cannot hold tens of thousands of prisoners; It is not run by foreign contractors and military. 0 out of 3.
