Oh the LYRICS!! I wasn't paying attention (that's plainly obvious) I saw the guys eating something so was paying attention to the screen to see what they might have on the table. I'm only a man for christ's sakes - I can't be expected to watch AND to listen at the same time! :omg: My head might explode!

20 minutes? Wow that must be a monster salmon or you really like it overdone.

Well it's definitely not overdone! I think it comes down to the fact that we have a really old crappy oven. I think Helen of Troy used to have the exact same one. Meh, but salmon is cheap out here (in comparison to most other stuff) so I tend to get a nice BIG chunk. Yummers!! :-D

I could eat salmon every night for a year without getting bored of it. Luckily salmon is very plentiful here on the west coast of Canada. I've pickled it, smoked it (many times), grilled, broiled, roasted, used in pasta, pastry rolls, dried as jerky, raw in sushi you name it. Very versatile ingredient.

I need to cook for myself, I've had pasta for the last few nights. Anyone got any recipe suggestions for one :(( ? Bearing in mind I'm in Norway so a few chicken breasts will set me back about £10. I'm not opposed to vegetarian recipes (in fact the only vegetarian recipe I know is pasta without meat). At the moment I'm getting a pizza. But I really don't want to eat that. [Edit] A little help? Right! Got loads of ideas!! Off to the shops now.

            Thank-you all!!!

I had a friend from Norway who cooked me a traditional Norwegian meal: Fish Fingers, Mashed Potatos and Sweetcorn. It's the little cultural differences that make travel so much fun......

When I lived alone I used to do things like that, make enough for a couple of days. My Indian Name was Two-Days-Running as everything lasted that long. No I am with Michelle, nothing last for one day! (Esp. Chocolate).

I don't do that more than once or occasionally twice. OTOH my last pot of ham soup was something like 3 gallons in size. So much for clearing out freezer space by using up all the frozen ham bones and juice. My next pot's probably going to be about as big. I thought i had 1 small bone in the freezer when I put the last one in with about 2.5-3lbs of meat still attached. A week later i reorganized the freezer and found I now had 3 containers with ham bones in them.

I favor a simple salad and a half of baked potato sprinkled with a bit of cayenne pepper for effect.  All washed down with ice cold aspartame-laden diet soda.  Mmm... aspartame!  :) /ravi
