Big Day for Apple fans

Frantic Steve Jobs Stays Up All Night Designing Apple Tablet[^] What is amazing about the Apple tablet is the accompanying hype. Some companies using resources to somehow find something about the tablet before the launch event. Regardless of how the product turns out to be the presentation, like any other Steve Jobs show, will be worth watching. Being more interested in marketing these days, I will definitely watch the presentation even though the Tablet concept is not that appealing to me.
After using iPhone, I was thinking to buy a MacBook Pro 13". But now I am waiting for 12:00pm CST. If the iTablet is affordable then I will go for a new form-factor based device (If it has original Mac OS X and not the iPhone OS 4.0). :) ...still 3 hours remaining...

I read that the Apple Tablet will run iPhone apps. Do you know if that'll be in a small window or if it'll expand to fill the bigger screen (losing some resolution in the process) ?

Nish’s thoughts on MFC, C++/CLI and .NET (my blog)
My latest book : C++/CLI in Action / Amazon.com linkIt is expected that it will run the same OS, some iPhone developers (based on rumors, so not 100% sue) have been asked to convert their apps to support higher resolutions. I think apps will have to be ported in some some way. Another possibility is that on the tablet the apps can appear in a dedicated window, and multiple apps can simultaneously be launched. Anyway, it is all pure speculation right now.

Ok, thanks. We'll know this week I guess :-)

All indications are that it will be iPhone OS 4.0 on the tablet.

I think, It is iSlate Anyway forget it, First of all they need to work out on Battery drain for iPhone :| and Everything else should be on least priority. Let's hope apple will consider battery drain for their iSlate also.

Apple fans don't care about trivia like battery life. It's shiny and has an apple logo on it, it needs no other feature set (except maybe a light that turns on so you know it's off ;-))

I've read rumours of "iPad". I'm sure it'll sell in it's millions regardless of what it actually does. One thing's for sure, if it just ends up being a 10" iPhone for $1000 (which rumours are pointing towards) then it's total failsauce.

That's somewhat true. I have seen people who have switched 6 iPhones one after another broke. and still using iPhone. but they have to come up something for battery as far as this product will be iPhone*(Square). So they have to consider this issue from their previous product experience.

In all likelihood, the early adopters will pay that price. After a year the price will come down. :)

Read a funny user comment on a forum about this: Buy stock in Tide (with bleach). There will be many pairs of Apple branded boxer shorts getting washed this week.

Or maybe, just maybe the onion is satire.
