What's the funniest 1 you got? [modified]

For me it's on my latest article. First I was pissed ;), but then I found out that same person gave 1 to Sascha Barber because his code sucks[^] and stomped on a guy because he was using parallel and not USB port[^]. After that I was laughing... and started to wonder if you guys have more jems like that to share?

I wouldn't give the trolls attention... it is one of their basic food groups... they thrive on it.

Yeah but whenever authors post about a bad 1-vote they received, a lot of people go and 1-vote the 1-vote-comment and thus it gets auto-removed and the article loses the 1-vote. Not saying that was the OP's intention, but pointing out how this is useful to the author. The 1-voter probably never checks the Lounge and will miss this thread - so no harm done.

My latest book : C++/CLI in Action / Amazon.com linkIndeed, though I never really liked the idea of posting links to articles in the Lounge (or in other forums, for the most part)... seems to give it unfair extra attention. I say let articles (and whatever comments might be at the bottom) be discovered by those who review the latest articles and who search for articles. But I don't feel too strongly about it... I wouldn't down vote somebody for doing that, but I wouldn't do it myself. Just makes me cringe a little when somebody is in, say, the C# forum and posts "hey check out my article and let me know what you think" (people will let you know what they think without you advertising your article). The OP of this thread is not quite doing the same thing, but I feel along the same lines about it.

LOL ;) No, that was not the point of my post... and I'll remove link to my article to clear any doubt. Just if you or anyone else stumble upon nice aces like those other two I posted - share them here, I would love to read them... even though you are right about negative side of promoting trolls... :(

I've never had a 1, just a lot of 3s. Coincidentally, a three happens to be the lowest somebody can vote without having to leave a comment to explain themselves

That is sad. Downvoting your articles really need a good explanation. I think CP folks need to improve further the rating system. :)
