Does anyone have a clue as to when you buy the license whether you get a license for both linux and windows? Nothing to say or nay on their website (lots of braying though) and I emailed them nearly 6 hours ago but still no response.

If the post was helpful, please vote, eh! Current activities: Book: Devils by Fyodor Dostoyevsky Project: Hospital Automation, final stage Learning: Image analysis, LINQ Now and forever, defiant to the end. What is Multiple Sclerosis[^]?

Look for Code Project very own Mike Dunn (too lazy to look for his profile), he's a VMWare Workstation developer, good chance he knows the answer. Not looking at ESXi at all? We're usingit to virtualise more and more serrvers at work.

I did and that was perfectly good for that particular scenario, this is something else :) In any case, you should email me your address. A little gift ought to find its way to your doorstep ;)

From the FAQ: Can I switch between VMware Workstation 7 for Windows and Linux? Yes. Starting with VMware Workstation 7, you can switch between Windows and Linux version of VMware Workstation using the same license key. If you decide to switch host operating systems, you must uninstall Workstation from the host operating system you no longer plan to use. If you plan to run VMware Workstation 7 on both a Linux and Windows host, you need to purchase two licenses. Seems fairly clear to me...
