Strange VSTS 2008 hang

I had opened Outlook web access today in IE. I also had two instances of VS running. One of them was a WCF application. Now, I viewed one of the services in browser and it was fine. But, when I close the browser window (service one), VS popped a message that it is waiting for something from Outlook. I waited for a minute nothing happened. Clicked "switch to" button, nothing happened. Finally, I closed Outlook and everything became fine. Any idea why this could have happened? BTW the service had nothing to do with Outlook or emailing.

For some weird reason, and this has happened on more than 1 PC, when I am stopped at a breakpoint when debugging, sometime Excel wont start. Click continue from breakpoint, Excel continues too...

I get some even weirder problems when Outlook spits the dummy, sometimes SQL Server Management Studio will not get past the splash screen. VS has been known to refuse to play at all and won't even show the splash, it has also been known to hang for minutes at a time. But hey there is so much security and AV crap on the office machine I just sigh, reboot and try again. I have been known to waste a couple of hours resetting the machine to get a working environment.

((λ (x) `(,x ',x)) '(λ (x) `(,x ',x))) The Scheme Programming Language – Fourth EditionExactly the same behaviour, it happens with all Office applications (Word, Excel...), until you break out from debbuging mode, Office apps just won't start. It happens in my work place (AV-s, security policies etc.), and on my home machine. Solution ? None :)
