    Is it just good ol hippy java kids who can't ask questions or are the other subjects suffering the same dross in the Q&A forum? I really want to be able to help and I get a warm fuzzy feeling from seeing an answer helping someone. But the f'in' questions that are appearing are allmost wothout exception: How to [Activity] How do I do [Activity] in java? Please help! All that's missing is sndcdzplz. Should I just answer CListCtrl?

    No question, no answer! I think we should answer only the question that we understand, and silently ignore the rest. There are two kinds of kiddies who cannot ask a proper question: Stupid/lazy people - and fine people with bad English skills. There's no sense in giving an even more unintelligible answer to somebody who isn't able to read it. (In worst case, he could adopt that style for future postings!) Hence the best way is to ignore questions we cannot read and answer the readable ones. :)

    This statement is false.

      I simply don't answer stupid questions :rolleyes:

        Try this I did:

        /// Blah
        void ValamitLenni(Object ezAz)
        {
        // mi a baj? nem tudom.
        }

        Works not! How i fix? - this one gets all the help I can give.

          A good deal of the questions are unintelligible or just plain dumb or both (in every forum). I've been trying to answer some more recently (not very busy) but it gets wearing. I answered one with what I thought was a reasonable answer and they came back with 'oh and I forgot to mention...' whihc completely chnaged the question. Grr. They say ther are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. Plainly, they've never been on a CP forum.

              The C# Q&A is similarly effected. I vote down then answer with why I Univoted. That way it drops out of the "Unanswered" list as well.

                  But they didn't care about that, because they create new id's in CP for every questions when they feel old one is in trouble or something like that.:cool:

                                Me too , I only do the answer thing for "I don't know how to [insert easily googleable, yet untried, process here] Snd Codez Plz" Type posts. Bad English / formatting usually just gets a message asking them to clarify / tidy up. In that case I don't generally vote either.

                                  I should make a calculator that works in Yoda Notation.... It's kind of like Reverse Polish, but instead of [arg1][arg2][operator], it's [arg2][arg1][operator]. [I] [should make] [a calculator] becomes [a calculator] [I] [should make] Would get really confusing with anything but addition and multiplication...

                                    But they didn't care about that, because they create new id's in CP for every questions when they feel old one is in trouble or something like that.:cool:

                                    ...but simply to remove these questions from my view from the view of all other CPians. (having them greyed out / marked with a low score is enough for quick visual filtering. I don't insist on them being removed from view totally.) If they do care, the can at least ask for an explanation why it was voted down.

                                        I should make a calculator that works in Yoda Notation.... It's kind of like Reverse Polish, but instead of [arg1][arg2][operator], it's [arg2][arg1][operator]. [I] [should make] [a calculator] becomes [a calculator] [I] [should make] Would get really confusing with anything but addition and multiplication...

                                          Nah, that's not the same, though... Yoda wouldn't say "Blue is the car" or "The car blue is"... He'd say "Blue, the car is" Normal: "The car is blue" Reverse Polish: "The car blue is" Yoda: "Blue, the car is"
