Should be renamed 'Homework Questions' or 'Mangled Questions'. I get that English is not everyone's first language and I try to take that into account but come on, some of the questions are in no known language. They may as well be Klingon for all the sense they make. Decipering some of them is like trying to wallpaper the hall through the letter box. Kudos to those that help to rewrite these questions - they must own universal translators (I think JS and CG do quite a lot).

I find it a little depressing that you often write a good informative answer, only to get downvoted without explanation - presumably "Noes! Didnt want be tld how 2 do it! I wantd teh CODEZ!"

English is not my first language so I can spot others who are too and can make leeway for that, what really grinds my gears is those who clearly can but choose instead to use shorthand netspeak. There's really no excuse for it. OR ALL CAPS FOLLOWED BY URGENTZZZ.

As much as I don't like QA ( we now have two places to post/ check for the same topic, and I didn't like the format when stackoverflow used it) the forums are little better: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/3403795/update-tables.aspx[^]

I experienced that, but, luckily, it was rare. :)

I liked the one where the OP said he had a problem but didn't say what it was, and everybody asked him, What is the problem?, so he posts a bunch of code but still doesn't say what the problem is, and sometimes he uses all caps and sometimes not. He never did say what the problem was. A real cliffhanger.

                Best wishes, Hans

Agreed! discouraging it is... Also at times, there are answers downvoted that are marked as an accpeted answer!
