A week or so ago I was bitching about having to drive an SUV because I needed to haul band gear to gigs. Someone (I forget who, hence my taking it out on the entire community), told me a tale of owning a Corvette and hauling a trailer to gigs. Well, that got me to thinking, and I came to the conclusion that I could just buy an old beater van to haul gear to gigs. Consequently, I just ended up with one of these last night. http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette/model_coupe.htm[^] You guys are a reeeeally bad influence on me... :-) Chistopher Duncan Author - The Career Programmer: Guerilla Tactics for an Imperfect World (Apress)

I don't know much about American cars but with Jap and European cars it depends what you want. If you want a long lasting car, then yes treat it carefuly in the first few thousand. But if you want the most out of the car, performance wise, then thrashing it when you first get it is a good thing. But then of course the life of the car is reduced. Then again a Corvette is hardly wanting for performance in any state :-D

Well, out of all the thousands of applicants, they'd certainly remember me, wouldn't they? :-) Paul Watson wrote: I have two questions actually: Does your attack chihuahua have it's own leather jacket and does it approve of your new car? I make no claims to Angelo - he's a business associate. As you can see, he does in fact have his own jacket[^], and he can darned sure get his own Corvette - I ain't sharing the wheel with a small, nervous canine!
