From what I read from the news earlier, the current Pope had covered up on molestations committed prior to his papacy whilst a Bishop, this (Clickety[^]) to me sounds a bit like hypocrisy, but then I'm quite the cynic.

Why does the Vatican rape little children?

I suspect the RCC has as a core problem, the fact that they do all sorts of things that are not in the Bible, in this case, a chaste clergy. I'm not saying that chastity leads to child molestation ( I don't believe I'd act that way under those circumstances ), but you have to think it's a factor. The next thing is simply that child molestors must, to do what they want to do, work themselves into positions of trust with kids. I don't think the RCC, for all it's failings, does not care about these things happening, they turned a blind eye in an age where people in general would do that if, for example, a man beat his wife, or whatever. They probably regret it now, but really have no idea how to deal with the problem without being bankrupted by legal proceedings against them.

It is extremely suspicious that you would add that you "don't believe" you would rape young boys under those circumstances.

I am honest enough to state that I don't know for sure what I'd do until I was in those circumstances. That doesn't mean I think it would be remotely likely, or that I don't find the idea abhorent. It just means that it is possible that people who have to remain chaste against their natures, may well find that they are drawn to whatever they can get. I mean, does a farm boy really prefer a pig to a woman ? Do men in prison become gay, or make do with what they can get ? It all seems gross to me, but I know that I can't say for sure how that situation affects people, as I've not been in it.

Do you believe you would do it? Have you ever actually been in that situation? If you haven't, you don't know, you believe. I'm not ragging on you. Unless you've been there and made the choice, you don't know. I like to believe I would handle myself OK in combat, but I don't know, because I have not been in combat. And I hope I never am.

And no doubt they were real tears and not the Pope's false (fake?) tears.

There is hypocracy here. The church says "Homosexuality is unnatural" then advocates celibacy for its clerics?

I'm not sure how that is hypocritical ? Because celibacy is unnatural ? I can kind of see that, but it's not blatantly so.

That is a thought on it. Others think that human life has a different purpose, to bring glory to God. The HRCC would probably like to believe that the recruits it gets for priests have a higher percent of those.
