At best it's a poorly sourced historic document. At medium it's a recording of common tales of a particular belief system. At worst it's one of the most impressive cons in history. At one level or another it's worth keeping around and even learning from, but it's no text book.

No, if he claims they're trying to invade, and pretty much anything that would incite aggression or a siege mentality against some group of people, then he would. Which really isn't that far off from the states, just that here someone has to actually start rioting before anyone's arrested, and the people who incited the riot generally get off scot free.

Actually they developed fairly quickly in some areas, and in one way or another managed to get decent deals out of the settlers, only to get fucked over later as we promptly ignored those deals.
