So, help me out here. I'm a Swede in San Francisco for training with 2, maybe 3, days completely off on my own in the end of May, beginning of June. What should I do? What should I see? What can't I miss?

Hm, there's that bridge everyone talks about. A stroll through Chinatown A boat trip from the piers if the fare is pocket money for you (Sea Lions, great view of the GG, a ride around Alcatraz, Whales if you are lucky). Tenderloin isn't sightly but rather lively - foudn a great blues club there. Neat trips just across the bridge, requiring a car: Muir Woods (BIIG trees, like, really big. Not sure if that appeals a Swede in San Francisco for training, though) Charles M. Schultz museum in Santa Rosa (about 12 miles north of the Golden Fate) - if you like Snoopy.

    Agh! Reality! My Archnemesis![^]

That's always the first thing that people suggest: "When visiting the US, go to the places that are least like the US."

That may be a little unfair, as the Chinese did an awful lot in labouring/building America. (From what I understand...) As a flippant comment, would it be more "American like" to make a house call on JSOP? (Check your life insurance first!) :-D

Lunch and a stroll in Sausalito is always very pleasant.

They should arrange tour groups outside his house, carrying "GIV CODZ!" placards. Make it part of a survivalist weekend -- bullet evasion is pretty well established on the survivalist agenda.
