What are the absolutely, positively, most coolest things a nerd must see in 2-3 days in San Francisco?

So, help me out here. I'm a Swede in San Francisco for training with 2, maybe 3, days completely off on my own in the end of May, beginning of June. What should I do? What should I see? What can't I miss? :rolleyes:

Hm, there's that bridge everyone talks about. A stroll through Chinatown A boat trip from the piers if the fare is pocket money for you (Sea Lions, great view of the GG, a ride around Alcatraz, Whales if you are lucky). Tenderloin isn't sightly but rather lively - foudn a great blues club there. Neat trips just across the bridge, requiring a car: Muir Woods (BIIG trees, like, really big. Not sure if that appeals a Swede in San Francisco for training, though) Charles M. Schultz museum in Santa Rosa (about 12 miles north of the Golden Fate) - if you like Snoopy.

That may be a little unfair, as the Chinese did an awful lot in labouring/building America. (From what I understand...) As a flippant comment, would it be more "American like" to make a house call on JSOP? (Check your life insurance first!) :-D

a) ride the trams, b) a trip to Alcatraz/the Wharf Area c) A trip Across the bay to Sausalito (unsure of spelling) d) a Night-time trip to http://thebuenavista.com/[^] for the Irish coffee :-) e) There are various bus trips you can do around S-F with themes, for example, movie locations/houses, general history f) If you're a child of the 70's go to the Haight-Ashbury district g) Chinatown h) There's a neat comedy club/restaurant close to the waterfront, close to Buena Vista Cafe too, cant temember the name i) if you're active there's a great cycling trail, hire a bike and cycle down to the Golden Gate Bridge (some of thse have been mentioned before) 'g'
