Almost[^]. Still, I am sure Yoda said something like that to Luke. Or Obi-wan to Anakin. Or...

He asked where he heard it first. I suspect that he's seen the Spider-man movie where Ben Parker says this to Peter (it's the scene where they are sitting in the care shortly before Ben is shot).

"WPF has many lovers. It's a veritable porn star!" - Josh Smith

As Braveheart once said, "You can take our freedom but you'll never take our Hobnobs!" - Martin Hughes.

It is not about the The link[^], which is a repost to everybody, I think. I was quite 100% positive that the famous quote "With great power there must also come — great responsibility." was something from star wars (Yoda?). However, it seems to come from Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962), which rings no bell so far. So, I am wondering where I heard that first place.

Strangely enough this was on the Simpsons (Everyman episode) the other day! Bart was winding up Comic Book Guy asking who Spiderman was - apparently he first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 which cost 12c (Bart offers to buy 8) and currently retails at $40,000. I watch way too much tv...

I miss "Conversation with Zuzu Petals was like masturbating with a cheese grater: slightly amusing, but mostly painful." from a cult movie in the link.

Spider-man. It's Ben Parker's advice to Peter Parker.

Well, I bet you could find screenplays for these, which technically are books. And I also know quotes from books, for instance, mmmhh, " In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.". But that does not fit in the Geek requirement.

This is actually a variant of a biblical verse Luke 12:48. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required.

I know it's on the last page. However, he asked where he heard it - and that's the scene in the Spider-man movie (unless he watched the Making of Spider-man special); so you lose 40 points and my reputation as a geek is unharmed. Don't mess with somebody who's watched that film with his kids 30 or so times in the last year.

I prefer the adaptation from the movie "Kick-Ass": With no power comes no responsibility.
