    Is it really a valid test for a lawn mower to be driven on sand? I would have thought that the record needs to be set on grass to be valid??? :doh: Us Brits are great inventors! crazy, but we get there... We made it to America didn't we??? :-D P.S. The American's still owe us for all that tea they destroyed!!! :laugh:

              This[^] cutie does 226 km/h without cutting blades and 194 km/h with them. But that's been timed on a racing track, not a lawn.

                        Poor accelleration and not long enough lawns is my guess. Golf course owners would probably be biased against speed tests.

                            There isn't, actually -- but everything else in the US is smaller (pounds, ounces, pints, cups, etc.), apart from miles and mouths.
