Ha, I'm living in Amsterdam at the moment and playing in the corporate comp here. Judging by the first round of the world cup all we need to take you guys down is for me to bring a couple of my cloggy friends home. That was almost as bad as Pakistan last time, I hope you didn't let your coach spend the night alone in his hotel room.

Australia will win the soccer world cup this year. Last time we were beaten by Italy when they cheated and were given a penalty in the dying minutes of our second group game. Had the referee not been looking the other way it would have been a draw. Therefore we were at least as good as the winners of the last world cup. All of our players have now been to acting school and we feel we can get opportunistic penalties as well as any of the European teams. We've also studied the recent French hand ball incident and feel more comfortable with cheating. We'd not realised that shrugging our shoulders and admitting to it afterwards made all the guilt go away. To top it all off it's been brought to our attention that most of the European league games have been fixed for years. Any idea what the going rate to fix a match is? We plan to pass the hat around before we come. Soccer (football) is a crap game.

So, you admit that you are good enough to cheat to European standards. I hate to break it to you, but we're all amateurs beside the South Americans (I'll exclude Brazil from that statement because they are good enough to have us whipped before we even take to the pitch).

I guess tampering with a soccer ball doesn't get you far.

I'd 5 you, but you forgot the Germans... Even without Ballack they're always a factor.

I just don't get the point in such a big thing being made of 22 grown men kicking a bag of wind around a grass field. Especially when they get paid such ridiculous amounts for what amounts to 'feeding the mob' with their achievements. Give them chainsaws and no rules and I might start to take an interest.
