Aww c'mon now. England played terribly. I don't really follow football and I only saw the last 20 minutes but England where playing terribly. Perhaps if the goal had been allowed then things would have gone a little smoother but I still think Germany would have won. It was the inability of the England players that cost them the match. England had a free kick, buggered it up Germany got away with the ball and there was nobody to stop them, then all they had to do was nonchalantly kick the ball into the net. A short while later England has a throw in, Germany get the ball and again make it down the pitch with nobody to stop them and into the net the ball doth go.
My current favourite quote is: Punch them in the face, see what happens!

If you don't know what you are talking about - please don't. England played well in the period of the match in which they scored disallowed goal. They scored 2 goals in short time, on the half-time result would be 2-2 and the second half might look completly different... but to hell with all this, if you only need to see 20 mins make complete judgment about quality of a team then great for you.

Blind, corrupt, deutsche mark stealing, cabbage eating, box head, kraut bastard referee did not allow a perfectly good goal. The world cup has been stolen and those officials should be banned from ever attending a football match again. Even the Germans in the crowd saw it as a goal. We Wus Robbed. Why don't you get mad about real corruption in government, bankrupting and looting the world economy, and forcing everyone to pay for the debt they created?

It isn't, because people without jobs wont be able to find one since higher taxes always mean high unemployment and reduced economic activity.

But with a 4-1 defeat (perhaps 4-2) and potentially the worst world cup defeat that the England team has ever had, I would be reluctant to say that they played well.

Well good for them, but I didn't make a 'complete judgement' on the team. I said I only watched for a short time and I only commented on what I saw. Are you trying to say that erasing half of scored points in a middle of the match has no psychological effect? Then would you be kind to give me half of your savings and everything you own then? Or are you saying that it had no effect on players because you didn't see what was happening?

As I said they played well in one period of the match in which they scored 2 goals and I see no reasons for fall of quality of their play other then erasing HALF of scored goals.

These matches? Only if it was true. We're talking about national teams here, where they don't get wad of cash for playing (well they get something if they win the trophy). So all they have is will to play.
