There are several reasons, mainly because we own them. If it wasn't for England, Scotland would be bankrupt. See Here[^] Obviously if you are going to set a colony, combs are important. Idiots! Still England bailed them out, and they resent it.

'Their' profits? Surely it was United Kingdom Money that invest in the search, the rigs etc. Don't forget that Scotland get a massively disproportionate amount of taxpayers money from England. (only 500,000 people in Scotland are net tax payers)

So it has come down to this, the motivation for backing is that the colour of the kit is the same as your favourite geek site. Still I can't think of a more relevant reason Go you little cloggers...
