...on opening the Lounge today, i get a yellow bar above the posts list stating the following: "Hint: For improved responsiveness use Internet Explorer 4, Firefox or above. Ensure Javascript is enabled and choose 'Normal' from the Layout dropdown and hit 'Update'." Really? Internet Explorer FOUR???!?!?? I thought most of the world were campaigning to rid us of IE SIX... //L

I was told that it is unwise to upgrade many things as once, and as I'm currently migrating to a new girlfriend platform I think I'll hold off on that for now. I tell you, it's the last time I go for an Open Source girlfriend... //L

I applaude you, Sir. It takes real courage supporting browsers almost as old as one self. :P //L

I saw it this morning too; I had just installed the latest version of Firefox at work.

Cheers, Vikram. (Got my troika of CCCs!)

At work, same box as yesterday, I don't see the error now. FWIW, it says

                      Gecko True
                      IE False
                      Opera False
                      WebKit False
                      Browser FIREFOX
                      Type Firefox3
                      Standard True
                      Display Mode Normal
                      User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6
                      Version 9
                      Major Version 3
                      Minor Version 6
                      Web 2.0 Enabled True
                      Mobile Device False
                      Cookies OK? False

                      Server Web19
                      Country United States

The country bit is odd, I'm on an EMEA box. Maybe it's a US box in the EMEA domain. :~

Cheers, Vikram. (Got my troika of CCCs!)
