My ISP promised 80mbit would arrive last autumn - clearly that has failed, but I now have this: http://www.speedtest.net/result/878660596.png[^] Not really 80, and not really 10, but better than the 50/5 I had yesterday. The upload speed still doesn't really make my happy but it's the best I can get before the fiber arrives next year (or the year after that, or who knows, they keep delaying it).

I hate you. I'm stuck at 4 MBit/s down, 256 kbit/s up. :suss: Really, those are impressive speeds.

I've got a direct line to Palo Verde, too, but it's 230kV; really hard on DSL modems... :sigh:

I just made the test: 16Dwn/5Up. This means that my right hand triceps is probably 4.5 times smaller then yours/or it will be after a few months/. :-D http://www.speedtest.net/result/878749309.png[^] Edit: It went over 20 Dwn on the second test - thats a plenty of pr0n! :-D

10 meg upload not good enough for you? Seriously, we're on 50 meg fibre optic broadband (the highest that Virgin are offering) and we actually get it most of the time but they cap the upload speed at 1.5 which is a load of balls and most of the time I get just about 1, trying to upload or send any file over a couple of MB takes an age. You'd think that if they can send 50 down the cable (and indeed 100 when they eventually get around to it) that they'd be able give a little more upload speed, thieving sods. http://www.speedtest.net/result/878829895.png[^]

lol..you had a 50meg internet connection and now a 70meg connection and are complaining because its not 80. Dude I was excited when I got upgraded to 7 from a meg and half. I'd kill for even half of that 50 megs.

Even your old connection is faster than mine - mine is generally about 20Mbps down and 3.33 up (Northern California). It's cable so during peak hours I get maybe 15 down and 3 up, but then on the flip side during low-load times I get up to 22 down and 4 up. Of course it wasn't too long ago that I had DSL with only 3 down and 0.5 up - so I am pretty pleased with my connection now.
