Because you're posting the same crap over and over and over and over and over again. It's annoying, monotonous, and exactly the same as CSS's repetitive ranting. The only difference between you and CSS, is that you at least pretend to understand the subject, while he can't seem to rise out of his drug-induced stupor. You want a sensible viewpoint? Here's one[^] I found... It's a bit old, but I think it still makes sense, and I mostly agree with what it says. Things are constantly changing. Humanity IS influencing it, and not just through CO2 (Which you seem to have a fetish for). How much and in what way is not yet known, because the problem is too complex for a simple answer, so we need to act responsibly and be prepared.

Most people in the US for example don't believe in evolution regardless of the scientific proof. Kansas banned it in the school systems from being taught.

And then you have the degradation of science. These tools should be strung up for what they have dont to it!

What "tools?" Exactly which groups have pissed you off to such a degree that you want to cut all funding for the entire discipline? Oh hey, some astronomer made an incorrect prediction of whether we'd be wiped out by an asteroid last year, so we better cut ALL funding for astronomy, right? Uh oh! A cancer drug didn't work, so we better get rid of all cancer research too! That's the kind of reasoning you're following here. The PDF I linked isn't asking for more funding for AGW groups. They're suggesting continued funding of climatology in general. So enough with this straw man[^] crap. This is supposed to be a logical discussion among geeks, not a public service announcement.

Now you're just dodging the issue. I said that they were advocating continued funding of climate research, not AGW studies. You repeated part of your prior post, saying, "...matters that are more pressing." The only way I can think of to interpret that is that you think the money should be spent elsewhere INSTEAD of the aforementioned climate research (Again, we're not talking about AGW studies). I replied that the money doesn't have to all go to one place, and can be split between various groups. And you responded: "And then you have the degradation of science. These tools should be strung up for what they have dont to it!" So what else is that supposed to mean? You're saying that giving climate research any funding at all is going to degrade science? What point are you trying to make here?

Your mission is dull and monotonous, and completely devoid of brain-eating zombies. I award it no points.

So if your goverment puts a one dollar tax per gallon gas to reduce your CO2 footprint, you will still find it "dull and monotonous".
What does that have to do with anything? If you want to join the discussion, try at least reading the posts.

The AGW / CO2 discussion in itself is boring. But how my tax money is spent is not. Therefore I find it very relevant to take part. And I support fat_boy in his effort to bring forward information about the subject.

The "boring mission" comment was about how he keeps changing everything to CO2/temperature... Seriously, read more than just the last post.

I always leave it to Economists to tell me how best to monitor climactic weather patterns. Those degrees in economics really help them understand the intricacies of climactic weather systems.

Bit snarky, aren't we? Surely McKitrick's work since obtaining his degrees* allows him to draw attention to the provenance and processing of a data bank that is being used as the basis for future economic policy? Nothing to do with the intricacies of weather systems, climactic [?] or otherwise. * His area of specialization is environmental economics and policy analysis. His research areas include modeling the relationship between economic growth and pollution emissions; regulatory mechanism design; and various aspects of the science and policy of global warming. His economics research has appeared in such journals as The Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Economic Modeling, The Canadian Journal of Economics, Empirical Economics, The Energy Journal, and Environmental and Resource Economics. His physical science research has appeared in journals such as Journal of Geophysical Research, Geophysical Research Letters, Climate Research, The Journal of Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Professor McKitrick has made invited academic presentations in Canada, the US and Europe, and he has testified before the US Congress and the Canadian Parliamentary Finance and Environment Committees. In 2006 he was one of 12 experts from around the world asked to brief a panel of the US National Academy of Sciences on paleoclimate reconstruction methodology.
