That will depend upon your perspective.

Is this the guy who's posting information about active operations stolengleaned for his whistleblower blog? If so, his military name would be Major Moron. Seriously, some people take the right to free speech too far; there comes a time when free speech has to be tempered by common decency and discretion. One thing I love about America is the myth that people are constitutionally guaranteed the right to free speech - go on, shout Fire in a movie theatre, or tell a stewardess that you are hijacking the plane you're on and see how that free speech thing stacks up. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of free speech, but enshrining it in law was always guaranteed to be fraught with issues. This moron is just one of those issues.

The thing about that is that people also have this thing called property rights, and such actions infringe on property rights.

The government does.* Isn't that what you guys keep arguing when you dispute the legality of property taxes? That you don't really own your property if you have to pay taxes on it? * No, I don't really believe that. Just trying to make a point.

Huh????? Well, you are forced into a transaction with the municipalities by being forced to pay taxes. You pay property taxes, and then they give you fire and police protection and a baby-sitter (aka grade screwl) for your kids. There are many other things, but those are some of the biggies.

Yes, I know that, and I agree... I was just pointing out that CSS has, in the past, used property taxes as evidence that property rights don't actually exist in the US.

Well, property rights here in the US are on shaky ground. As far as land and home ownership, you don't really own it, but instead rent from the state, county, and city.

Well, property rights here in the US are on shaky ground. As far as land and home ownership, you don't really own it, but instead rent from the state, county, and city.

So you're contradicting yourself in the same thread... Very nice.

I do according to the law, not according to any natural rights. Those that have the power to change the laws could, in theory, take away those rights. So could someone with a big gun.
