My wedding - 10 years ago - just saved my job

...assuming I could no longer program without fingers, that is. I have a big 'ole filing cabinet with sharp metal edges. A girl in my office just tripped and kicked the thing shut as I was rifling through some specs. It slammed shut, like, hard...on my wedding ring. It's a little less round, but I can still count to five on one hand. Owe my wife a big one on the kisser when I get home.

What a wasted opportunity. You could have had it replaced with a screwdriver/laser-beam/gas-pellet shooter attachment.

I had a similar evil thought. Maybe she just finished up a degree from an online college that would let her slip right into your position... Next time 1. put out a big, orange work cone while you are rummaging through the cabinets. 2. put a bell around her neck.
