Do you check in readme files with your source code?

Need custom software developed? I do custom programming based primarily on MS tools with an emphasis on C# development and consulting. I also do Android Programming as I find it a refreshing break from the MS. "And they, since they Were not the one dead, turned to their affairs" -- Robert Frost

I "check in" everything, source files, text files, spreadsheets, circuit diagrams, everything I've spent some time in. What is the point saving half a project? :)

Please use <PRE> tags for code snippets, they preserve indentation, and improve readability.

If I didn't why would I write them? They are part of the project, they need to be saved in the same place. Would you not save the C++ include files?

Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together.

Is this a readme targetted toward developers or targetted toward end users?

I check in any related document. This includes notes I make during phone calls, meetings, bugs I find and/or others report, etc. Basically, I want to be able to 100% reconstruct my work in case of a failure. Marc
