Hmm, wonder how the battery life is on the little ones... I'm gradually becoming anti-apple, but it would be nice to have a decent iPod-Touch-style device with WiFi, without getting a smartphone and shelling out an extra $25 a month for a "data plan"...

Happened exactly the opposite for me. When I first started with PC's (IBM's and clones) I generally disliked Apple. Now (20+ years later) I generally dislike PC's (Microsoft, HP, Dell, Sony, etc...) and prefer Apple. Funny how that works. :)
