How about an investigation into the rape that occurred on her property that was covered up by her son? That sounds like perverting the course of justice and concealing a criminal offence to me But of course because they are over Privileged they will get away with it....

Time for me to be totally cynical :omg:, but 6 years (or so) ago when Tory Blair entered No.10, he said he was going to relax licensing laws. He said it at the last election, he said it last year. I'm not expecting them to go through with it this time either. Regards Barry

'Bout time we had a Republic if you ask me...  It would of been sweet if the Queen had abolished the monarchy today. ha ha ha ha ha ha.

He said lots of things and made lots of empty promises. I actually thought things would be better back in '97 - I was glad to see the back of the Tories. And what have we had? 5 years of mediocre spin-doctored buillsh*t. Time for a revolution! Vive Presidente Caldecott!

Just love to see a Royal in the 'dock' having to give their fullname, it could take weeks.... :)
It'd never happen. I think that if we (the British public) knew about even a fraction of the scandals that the royals have been involved with over the years, we'd soon kick their arses out the country. Buckingham Palace would make a great hotel! ha ha ha.

Just out of curiousity, what is NOT on the list?? I mean, is there any significant UK government duty that isn't on that list? *Disclaimer - I'm not implying that the UK government is worse off than any other government. Only that the list looks a little generic. Mike Mullikin

Paul Watson wrote: All jokes aside at least you guys have a NHS. The trouble is that it is badly run - there are now more than 1:1 non-medical staff to medical staff in the NHS. The meals are cooked off site, brought in and heated up. Most of the hospitals are over 40yrs old, etc. etc. etc. :(( Regards Barry

David Wulff wrote: Reforming the criminal justice system How many times has the criminal justice system been reformed? It's reformed every year with little change. If the alleged homosexual rape did occur, then it is the responsibility of the victim to call for charges/investigation to be brough, not the Quuens. If she did anything then she would be abusing her position.

Paul Watson wrote: All jokes aside at least you guys have a NHS. My thoughts exactly, although the more time I spend here the more I can see the merits in the complaints. They do need improvement, and taxes are high in the UK. At first I got really pissed when I saw the newspapers dumping all over the government here all the time, but now I see that a lot of it actually is just contributing to keeping them in line. The people here aren't afraid to raise their voices collectively and so they have a reasonably civilized country to live in. In Nelspruit, in March, a farmer suffered a heart attack. He was taken to the state rather than the private hospital as he did not have medical aid, but only after seeing a private doctor who wrote a letter with the heart attack diagnosis to the hospital staff. The heart attack had caused pain in the man's left leg, so at the state hospital the doctor promptly amputated the offending leg instead of treating the damage done to the heart. Needless to say the man died about 3 hours later, leaving a wife and 2 young children. In comparison to this the NHS looks like heaven, but then people in England find it hard to believe things like this really occur in a civilized country. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's all relative. :|

Some people are waiting 2 or more years for heart operations. Yes, heart operations.I have waited for longer previously also. The NHS staff are fantastic - they work for so little pay (firefighters take note) and do a great job considering how under-funded they are. Unfortunately, a lot of people take their frustrations of the NHS out on the staff. We're just too damn proud of our NHS to scrap it. It's a mess.
